eForms now supports individual Form 4 transfers!

As of the latest January 2026 updates, eForms now allows Form 4 transfers in addition to those that are initiated by a sale at an FFL.   These transfers include:

  • Individual to Individual
  • Individual to trust (your own or another)
  • Trust to trust
  • Trust or Individual to an FFL

This means the paper process is largely a thing of the past.  Couple this with the removal of the federal tax stamp and there couldn’t be a better time to start a trust and move your individually owned items into the trust.

If you wish, I can assist with submitting one or more eForm 4s for you.  Prior to calling me to schedule a time, you will need to do the following:

Checklist Items

  1. Email me a Scanned Copy of All 17 Pages of Your Notarized Trust including schedules
  2. Email me a copy of the existing tax stamps
  3. Have Each Responsible Person on the Trust Complete, Print, and Sign a Form 23.  (I can remove users prior to this step if you wish … only YOU and anyone we leave on Schedule B is considered a responsible person) — Please see these detailed instructions for completing the Form 23.
  4. Email me a Scanned Copy of the Completed and Signed Form 23(s) (DIGITAL SIGNATURES ARE NOT ALLOWED)
  5. Email me each responsible person’s EFT fingerprint file(s).
  6. Email me a JPG copy of each responsible person’s passport-style photo
  7. Call me and provide your eForms login credentials and payment information
